Pros
- It’s cheap. Ikea sells it for only $79.00
- Its light making it easy to move by yourself

Cons
- It’s uncomfortable. The springs poke you in the back and it hurts!
- The top fabric is not soft. It feels like your sleeping on a bed of blue jeans.

I have a Full Size IKEA JAREN Spring Mattress. I got this mattress about 8 months ago from a friend who was moving. She didn’t want to take it with her, I guess, and I completely understand why!

This mattress is the worst mattress in the world. It would probably be better if I slept on the floor (and if it weren’t so darn cold on the floor I would.) The size is nice, but then again size is pretty universal. But since sleeping on it, I have had more backaches and headaches than I ever have in my life. Sometimes it gets so bad that when I wake up I can’t move.

The springs, I am convinced, are responsible for this. The fabric separating the springs from my back is so thin, so when I lay on the bed I can literally feel the outlines of the coil in my back. It’s not firm, it’s not soft, it’s basically like sleeping on a sheet of coils with a piece of fabric over it.

It never seemed this uncomfortable when I went over to her house but I found out not too long ago it was because she put foam on top of the mattress but under the sheet. I guess that was the biggest difference so if anyone is going to get this mattress, that’s what they should do. I haven’t been able to find cheap enough foam. Here are my overall spec reviews.
