My Sealy Posturpedic has made a huge difference in my life. I had never owned anything other than a futon and once my husband and I got married and purchased this luxurious bed, my life changed for the better. This mattress is the perfect combination of firmness and softness. It is a California King Mattress so we can be sleeping and not even realize the other person is there. You have the ability to stretch out and really relax without thinking you may disturb your sleeping partner.
This mattress is feathery, cushiony, and soft. Because it also has a light firmness, it can form to the outline of your body. Throughout the night, your body slowly creates a heavenly, snuggly cocoon with the mattress around you! The thickness of the pillow top makes you feel like you are lying on a cloud.
The price of this mattress was extremely affordable for us. We chose to purchase it from a discount warehouse. It was brand-new but the plastic wrapping had been damaged in shipping so the large department stores were unable to resell it.
We have had the mattress over three years now and it still feels brand new. We purchased an additional mattress protector at the time we purchased our mattress in order to protect it and keep it newer longer. It has been an invaluable addition and I know our mattress will last for years to come.
We purchased our mattress from Raymour and Flanigan, and had to try several stores and types of mattresses before we found a comfortable one. My husband could sleep on a tree branch, but I have some back pain and struggled with that. Our original price point was about $1500 but as we tried those mattresses out we realized that wasn’t going to cut it. For something we were going to be using for the next 20 years and were going to be spending 30% of our time in, we decided to make the investment.
We had read several places that this myth of a firm mattress being better for your back is totally untrue, so we decided to just get what felt great. The great thing about this mattress is that it has a few inches of memory foam just under the pillowtop, so you get the best of both worlds; the response of springs when you move for mobility, and the body-hugging comfort of memory foam.
The only issue we have had with the pillowtop is some slight variations in the thickness of the pillow from our body imprints, but they go away after a few days. The mattress was $2500, which was more than we hoped to pay, but it was so worth it. We sleep like babies and my back pain is virtually gone. Sometimes I don’t even have to use a pillow because the mattress is so supportive and comfortable. My husband, like I said, can sleep ANYWHERE, but he loves it too and we both still comment on how happy we are with it a year after purchase.
