My husband and I purchased a queen-size pillow top inner spring mattress about three years ago. We were replacing our old inner spring queen-sized mattress and were needing something a lot more comfortable. While it wasn’t our first choice for our mattress, it was within our price range, and a good name brand that we knew we could count on. The queen size seems to suit us well.

It is large enough to give my husband and I our own space in bed at night, but small enough to bring us close together, even during sleep. It is also the perfect size for most rooms–not too large so that it will take over the entire space, but large enough to allow us to sleep in comfort. Our mattress is fairly soft, and the pillowtop adds some more softness to our sleeping arrangements. While it works well for me since I prefer a softer mattress, it is not very comfortable for my husband. He prefers a firmer mattress, and often awakens feeling achey and sore.

The mattress seems to be holding up after three years, and I don’t imagine we will have to replace it in the near future. The quality is fairly good, and the craftsmanship of the mattress is good enough to allow us years of decent sleep for a decent price. I would certainly recommend this mattress to anybody who is on the same budget we are for a good quality mattress for a reasonable price and a good night’s sleep.

There are many benefits to our Simmons DeepSleep mattress. The first is the pillowtop portion of the mattress. It cushions certain pressure points to allow a comfortable night’s rest. It is also made of good quality, durable materials so that your mattress will last you for years to come. There are also some downsides to the mattress. It needs to be rotated, but only in a clock-wise or counter-clockwise direction, several times per year. As a result, there are still going to be spots where there is a little more noticeable wear and tear on the mattress.

It does not get flipped over as well since the pillowtop is only on one side. The other downside is that the inner springs of the mattress are all connected instead of separately wrapped coils. The result is you can feel the movement of your partner in bed next to you at times. Overall, our mattress is rather impressive. It is relatively comfortable (for me, anyway!), and the quality is good. This mattress is certainly durable enough to have lasted us three years so far, and will certainly be lasting us several more. The price is right where we needed it to be. It was on sale when we got it, so we ended up getting a better quality mattress for less money than we expected.
