Pros
- Very relaxing.
- You won’t disturb your partner when you get up in the middle of the night.
Cons
- New mattress smells like chemicals.
- Heavier than a traditional mattress.
I purchased the AdvantageBed by Tempur-Pedic from sleepys.com and have since been nothing but satisfied. I own the king sized version of the bed, and it is the perfect size for me and my wife. Upon purchasing the bed I was told that because of the “no flip” technology I would never have to rotate or flip the bed.
I have owned the bed for almost a year and the firmness now is exactly the same as when I purchased it! I remember the commercial showcased a person placing a full wine glass on the bed and then jumping adjacent to the glass to show that it would not tip the glass over. This displayed the lack of motion transfer in the memory foam.
On the first day the bed was delivered I tried this with a glass of water (you can’t ever be too cautious) and it worked! I was, and still am, astounded with this bed! I don’t think I will ever buy a normal spring mattress again.
Pros
- Very comfortable.
- Relieves ‘sleeping pain’ caused by pressure on your body while you sleep.
Cons
- Expensive
- Difficult to get used to if you currently sleep on a hard mattress.
I received the mattress in a timely fashion for the trial period. I was initially upset with the feel of the mattress. I was used to a mattress without a box spring, therefore, I was quite uncomfortable on the mattress for the first month.
The mattress fit my existing frame well enough, and on a firmness scale I would give it a 5. The mattress works just as they advertise, it forms around you and gently ‘hugs’ your body, like a waterbed. With my old mattress, I often woke up with a sore back, but with this mattress it fits around your body and doesn’t push on whatever parts you sleep on. It is quite comfortable after you get used to it after a short period of time.
The quality has not been an issue for me; I have not had any issues with quality or flattening. The foam seems to restore to its regular form day after day. I will never go back to a regular mattress now that I have used this for an extended period of time.
